For a really dull article it has an interesting headline...

I am so proud. I have managed to spend the majority of this week avoiding Stu's man flu germs. Chilli is the best I find - apparently they open up the bodys fighting passageways whilst the garlic in a curry has natural anti-viral chemicals which also help.

So how pissed off was I yesterday afternoon as food poisoning kicked in - at least I hope it's food poisoning as opposed to the alternative as Girlpants is off to Washington soon. I spent a whole week of dodging the man flu bullet and I get sidelined by a ricochet. L & I always have a drink and maybe something to eat after our weekly Sainsburys shop together. And yesterday, it wasn't good nor pretty. I haven't eaten a thing in over 20 hours, am still not hungry but have managed to gulp 6 litres of lemonade down during a sleepness night.

Blargh... It will be a long time before I eat another fried egg...

So I've been thinking lately about what if's...

              • What if I hadn't taken Phil & Theo as a degree?
              • What if I stayed in Japan?
              • What if I had stayed in IT?
              • What if I hadn't met Paul?

That last one has got me thinking. What if I hadn't met Paul? I know that I took the mick out of Stu at first when he introduced. I even called him Pimp Stu in homage to Disco Stu, but I have to admit that I don;t know what would have happened to me if I hadn't met Girlpants.

He refers to me as his Little Numbnut, and in a way, I am. I was talking to Jayne about it today and I think that if I hadn't had him to steady me, then I would still be in the mess and bigger that I was when I met him.

When I met Girlpants, one of my friends claimed that he was too quiet and in all probably, Mister Dullard was an axe murderer. Despite the criticism and his Noel House Party jumpers, we hit it off, unable to pass an evening without at least talking or msg. Sad but true. And despite my debts, bad habits and withdrawal from smoking (which regrettably was not hard), he chose me.

So what I'm trying to say is that I love you Smeg Head.

I don't deserve you.

Both Girlpants & I have been wearing our poppies for the last two weeks. I've even had to rebuy new poppies due to baby sitting duties that have meant four former poppies were consumed by the under fives...

Thank god I don't change their nappies...

On Friday, Girlpants held a two minute silence in his office. Mind - there was no-one there at the time as everyone had pissed off to the pub for opening. Whereas I was running around Sainsburys trying to find both Tori & L in between the store holding four mins silence for those who died (i.e. Stopping me in my tracks & not being able to ask anyone if they had seen them).

So imagine how pissed off we both were when at 11 this morning, the new neighbour a few doors down was screaming at her child at top notch, turning the air blue. Just two minutes love - it's not a lot of your time to give a little respect to service peeps who have given their lives for us.

I think I'll go send Rhubarb to pee on her car...

Exactly 14 months into the marriage. I come downstairs, contentedly switching the laptop on and making us both a cuppa, whilst preparing for breakfast. After my third sip of caffeine, I notice...

He's changed the blog. Powered Steam driven by Girlpants.

Glad he's put the Union Jack ones on today....
