Gong Xi Fa Cai

It's the year of the rat, and to celebrate, big fat munter cat brought in a gift for us which is now lodged under the washing machine. Big fat munter mouse was so fat that big fat munter cat was able to take her time and wobble up to catch it. God only knows how she managed to drag it through the cat flap. However due to it's girth, the mouse is now lodged under the drum of the machine until we can prize the cats away to save the rodent. And all in the spirit of the New Year.

The great thing about Chinese New Year is celebrating with the food and family. Chow mein, Peking Duck, prawn crackers... - just typing about it is making my mouth water even though the dishes I experience and love to indulge in over here are nothing compared to the food that the extended family will be tucking into. But with our favourite Chinese take out being closed on because of the New Year 4705, I'm hoping that Girlpants will stop eyeing up the bottom of the washing machine, allowing me time to break out the fish and chips.

Shit! When I clicked onto your page that bloody big rat frightened me so much that I had to go and have a whiskey, and then another whiskey, etc. Thanks!

Just realised you probably mean a real mouse. Doh! As long as it wasn't a real rat!

Keith - My pleasure! :)

Pat - A real mouse indeedy. And plump. It took a full fifteen minutes to get the fat rodent out and in a safe outdoor hidey hole.

Yeah, cats are helpful like that. That sounds like one fat mouse!

Mmmmmmm...chinese food.
